Rhopoint Components has been appointed exclusive UK distributor for thin-film pressure and temperature sensors manufactured by German company Industrial Consulting Sales.
The sensors are engineered from 17-4 PH stainless steel, 316L, A286 or Hastelloy C22, with insulating and functional layers sputtered directly onto the metal diaphragm. This design eliminates creeping effects and delivers long-term stability, radiation resistance and temperature endurance from -328°F to 500°F (-200°C to 260°C).
Each sensor assembly is welded directly to the pressure port, creating hermetic sealing without additional materials. The sensors are laser-trimmed for balanced Wheatstone bridge outputs.
The sensors operate across pressure ranges from 1.5bar to 2,500bar (20psi to 36,000psi) with electrical isolation ratings of 500V to 750V AC. Aerospace systems using the technology have demonstrated operational lifespans exceeding 30 years, said Industrial Consulting Sales (ICS-NH).
According to ICS-NH, 90% of its sensors are custom-engineered to meet specific requirements. The company offers digital I²C output configurations for satellite applications and analog differential designs for aircraft and propulsion subsystems.
“Partnering with Rhopoint Components enables us to extend our proven aerospace-grade pressure sensing technology to a wider audience in the UK,” said Norbert Heinrich, chief executive officer and founder of ICS-NH. “Our thin-film sensors are designed for the most extreme environments on and beyond Earth, providing the long-term reliability and precision space programs demand.”
Daniel Theis, technical manager at Rhopoint Components, said, “ICS-NH’s technology perfectly complements Rhopoint’s commitment to supplying world-class sensing and test instrumentation.”
ICS-NH is based in Berlin and was founded in 2008. The company holds EN 9100 (AS9100D equivalent) certification. New cleanroom facilities and production space are scheduled for completion in late 2025.
Rhopoint Components is part of the Rhopoint Group and distributes high-performance components, sensors and instrumentation for precision measurement applications across industrial, automotive, aerospace and scientific sectors.
