In a current research project concerned with the scalability of active rotor control applications, the German Aerospace Center (DLR), in cooperation with Airbus Helicopters Germany, tested a contemporary five-bladed rotor system in a wind tunnel as part of the SKAT (Scalability and Risk Minimization of Technology) research project.
