Chell Instruments launch light weight nanoDAQ-LTC-8 miniature smart pressure scanner

Chell Instruments has expanded its nanoDAQ-LT series with the nanoDAQ-LTC-8, suitable for highly precise pressure measurement in small-scale applications.

The nanoDAQ-LTC-8 is designed for applications where small size and light weight are a priority, but retains the features and performance expected from a class-leading pressure scanner.

“When designing the compact nanoDAQ-LTC-8, we made it our priority to deliver a smaller size product without sacrificing any of the industry-leading features that make our scanners so valuable. As a result, we’re proud to release the smallest intelligent pressure scanner available, delivering up to 0.04% FS accuracy,” said Jamie Shanahan, director of Chell Instruments.

The nanoDAQ-LTC-8 is a fully configurable smart pressure scanner that acquires and transmits data to a host via CANbus. With 8 measurement channels and a reference channel, the nanoDAQ-LTC-8 can output in absolute and differential pressure.

As a returning feature from the Chell Instruments nanoDAQ-LT series, the sensor has the ability to add Ethernet communications, allowing full configuration and access to the inbuilt web server.

The nanoDAQ-LTC-8 addresses the sensors at a defined rate, acquires the output and applies a pressure and thermal calibration to deliver data in accurate engineering units.

Designed for its miniature size, the nanoDAQ-LTC-8 weighs just 17g to enable pressure measurement on smaller objects and delicate surfaces that require high precision.

“Our products are used to test pressure, vacuum and gas flow measurement for all different shapes and sizes. We are always looking for ways to develop new solutions that can be used for even more testing scenarios. With the launch of the nanoDAQ-LTC-8, we’ve created a compact self-contained acquisition system that’s helping our customers gather precise data for lightweight applications” added Shanahan.

North Walsham-based Chell Instruments has been providing pressure, vacuum and gas flow measurement equipment for over 40 years.

“Championing innovation is at the heart of everything we do at Chell instruments and the continuing development of the nanoDAQ-LT series is a testament to our commitment to pushing the boundaries of precision. We look forward to seeing clients utilise the new nanoDAQ-LTC-8 for intelligent pressure measurement and control” adds Jamie.
