Airbus has kicked off the Paris Air Show 2025 with an order from Saudi Arabia-based leasing company Avilease, which has placed an order for 77 aircraft.
The order includes which consists of 22 A350Fs (A350 Freighter) and 55 A320neos is Avilease’s first direct order with Airbus.
AviLease, which was founded in 2022, has an existing fleet of 200 aircraft.
Deliveries are expected to take place from 2030 to 2033 and no decision yet has been made on the engines the aircraft will use.
Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, executive vice president sales of Airbus’ commercial aircraft business said, “We are confident we can deliver the aircraft in this timeline.
“The A350F will set the benchmark in air cargo, offering at least 20% reduced fuel burn, better loading capacity and increased range, while the A320neo Family continues to be the world’s most popular single-aisle aircraft.
Edward O’Byrne, CEO of Avilease said, “We reviewed the platforms available from technical and economic standpoint and from that perspective the A350F came out on on top”

The A350F features the largest main deck cargo door in the industry, with fuselage length and capacity optimized around the industry’s standard pallets and containers. Over 70% of the airframe is made of advanced materials, resulting in a 46 tonne lighter take-off weight than the competing derivative.
