Podcast: Brandon Robinson, Horizon Aircraft

0

In this podcast Brandon Robinson, CEO of Canadian company Horizon Aircraft discusses the details his company’s eVTOL-development program, including the technical issues challenges his team are addressing and market trends.

Horizon Aircraft, which was founded in 2008, is developing the hybrid-electric Cavorite X5 to have an estimated top speed of 450 km/h (280mph) with a 500km (300 miles) range and a five passenger capacity. The Cavorite X5 uses a patented fan-in-wing technology that allows it to fly horizontally like a fixed wing aircraft for most of its mission.

Horizon was recently acquired bought by drone developer Astro Aerospace and has large ambitions backed up by a pragmatic approach to development and testing, making this company and its progress one to watch.
