Curtiss-Wright has added its IADS test display and analysis software to its flight test instrumentation portfolio.

IADS is real-time display and post-test analysis software used in flight testing. According to Curtiss-Wright it is used by every major test program in the USA and in many other countries around the world.

IADS is now being offered by Curtiss-Wright’s Aerospace Instrumentation group, which is part of its Defense Solutions division. The IADS products will continue to be developed and supported, with no interruption in service for all current IADS customers, by the original IADS team based in Palmdale, California.

The IADS software can scale from processing large multi-discipline test rooms to single user systems in different test environments. It allows flight-test engineers to monitor in real-time the large amounts of data collected from an aircraft during a flight-test program. This data is then used to help validate the successful completion of test points and for safety.

IADS also enables detailed analysis of the data to be performed after the test. With support for user-customizable data display, it can significantly improve flight-test efficiencies and helps to speed program completion.

The company said that the addition of the IADS software product line enables it to provide its customers with a more complete flight test instrumentation solution from a single source.

Lynn Bamford, president of defense and power at Curtiss-Wright said, “We are looking forward to growing the IADS product line, bringing it to new markets and expanding our training and integration capabilities.

“As the world’s broadest and most experienced single source of commercial and defense flight test instrumentation system solutions through our data acquisition, networking, recording, RF, imaging and ground station product lines, we support more aerospace flight test customers, platforms, and programs than any other competitor around the world.

“Going forward, further integration of IADS software with Curtiss-Wright hardware will reduce our customers’ software integration efforts and lower their design and program risk.

“Many of our customers already use this industry leading product with our hardware and closer integration with Curtiss-Wright solutions will enhance software and hardware capabilities while simplifying and reducing the number of sales and support contacts, greatly easing client operations.”
