Element receives testing approval from Kawasaki
Heavy Industries

Element Materials Technology’s laboratories in Daleville, Indiana, and Charlotte, North Carolina, have gained approval from Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) to conduct testing on a range of materials and components for the leading aerospace prime and its supply chain partners.

The two laboratories are approved for a comprehensive range of tests that include hydrogen analysis, room and elevated temperature tensile testing, metallography, hydrogen analysis and salt spray.

Rick Sluiters, EVP aerospace, Element, said, “This client approval is a fantastic achievement by our two laboratories and adds to an already impressive array of approvals including Bombardier, Boeing, GE Aircraft, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce and Honda Aerospace.

Element Daleville specializes in chemical composition, mechanical and microstructural characteristics of exotic and standard metal alloys, forgings, castings and components, as well as failure analysis, and special engineering projects, including test method development, fixture design, metallurgical field services and lifecycle testing.

Element Charlotte is an Aerospace Forging Testing Center of Technical Excellence specializing in materials testing including: chemical analysis, mechanical testing, metallography, corrosion testing, failure analysis, engineering, non-destructive testing, and other material evaluation services.
