Low speed tunnel for Learjet
The Walter H. Beech Wind Tunnel at Wichita State University’s National Institute for Aviation Research recently performed tests for the new Learjet 85 mid-size business jet. In May, Bombardier conducted low-speed testing at NIAR for the Learjet 85 aircraft with an 11% model.

The Beech Wind Tunnel is a state-of-the-art low speed wind tunnel with a 7 x 10 x 12ft test section capable of reaching speeds of up to 240mph. The tunnel is fully equipped with a high performance under-floor external balance, internal balances, real-time data acquisition software, an active heat exchanger, sting mount, and flow visualization options.
