The Atlas V Launcher and CST-100 Starliner's is on track to return the USA's capability to put humans into space without the Russian Soyuz spacecraft, possibly by the end of 2018. But, with the benefit of hindsight, do you think the Space Shuttle program, which ran from 1981 to 2011, was a misstep in the US-space program?

Chroma International is a mechanical engineering and control system provider with experience in the development and manufacture of wind tunnels and equipment that ensures excellent quality and value for money.

Type of our wind tunnel products:
- Closed circuit wind tunnel;
- Open circuit wind tunnel;
- Supersonic blow down wind tunnel;
- Anechoic wind tunnel.

Our wind tunnel products are tailor made and adapted to your testing requirments.

We define with the customer the main wind tunnel characteristics required and deliver the best solution to achieve these.

WIND TUNNEL EQUIPMENT

Model Positioning System
Our model positioning system is capable of controlling the model angles in a 3-axis of rotation (yaw, pitch, roll). Equipped with high technology motion control, it can perform high accuracy motion which is needed during model testing. Two types of model positioning system (quadrant or parallelogram) may be chosen to adapt to customer application.

External Balance
Capable of measuring forces and moments of 2D/3D model during wind tunnel testing. The balance can be either three or six components, and the model support may be single strut or three strut, and controlled by motion along two axes (yawing and pitching).

Internal Sting Balance
Our standard internal (sting) balances are designed for small and medium load range, with balance diameter from 10 mm up to 30 mm.
They could be either three, four or six component balance.
Bigger balance or high load range balance could be designed as per customer request.

Flow Traversing System
Cartesian roof mount and gantry type traversing capable of performing three-axis movement and can be used for scanning airflow inside test sections.

Data Acquisition Reduction and Control System
Collecting the data during wind tunnel testing is as important as the test itself. Our data acquisition reduction and control system (DARCS) is integrated with motion control and capable of measuring and collecting all data needed, such as wind speed, pressure and aerodynamic data from force balance. Aerodynamic polar can be plotted automatically using the software.
