Altitude Testing
Utilising a VAH 1000 – 65, 1000 litre combined temperature, humidity and altitude test chamber, MIRA carries out tests to the following specifications:
Def Stan 00-35: Part 3 Issue 4; Test CL20: Rapid Change of Pressure; Test CL20: Low Air Pressure and Air Transportation Tests;
MIL-STD-810G: Method 500.5 Low Pressure (Altitude) Procedures I, II, III;
RTCA/DO-160E: Environmental Conditions and Test Procedures for Airborne Equipment Section 4; Temperature and Altitude (Sections 4.6 & 4.6.2);
AECTP 300: (Edition 3) Method 312 Low Pressure (Altitude) Procedures I, II, III.
Seat Engineering & Testing
MIRA conducts complete aircraft seat certification programmes on pilot, crew and passenger seats for both civil and military applications. Capability also exists for the testing of galley equipment and cabin interior fittings.

MIRA offers finite element analysis (FEA) of aircraft seats working to the requirements of SAE AS 8049 to reduce development costs and shorten the time required to obtain full certification. MIRA is in regular attendance at SAE AS 8049 dynamic seat tests and is experienced in relating FEA to real world requirements.
Product & Component Testing
MIRA operates one the largest and most comprehensively equipped independent environmental test facilities in Europe. Utilising a secure transport service for the collection and delivery of products for test, clients’ are assured an efficient and confidential service.
