TECNATOM is a private Spanish private company. It was initially involved in the nuclear power industry, but since its foundation in 1957 it has opened its technological capacities to explore other industrial sectors, particularly the aerospace industry.
The main areas of company activity are:
NDT: test, inspection and control of components, technical assistance, and supply of equipment, systems and procedures.
Industrial processes: development of remote control and data acquisition systems.
Training: NDT certification, I&C.

TECNATOM has recently become an international group, and now includes the French companies Metalscan and M2M. Metalscan specializes in design, development and manufacturing of NDT systems. M2M specializes in the design and developing of phased array UT systems.

TECNATOM provides advanced systems for ultrasonic inspection of 3D aerospace parts; from small systems up to 35m, high number of axes (up to 12) and multiple configurations (gantry, immersion tank).
TECNATOM’s data acquisition system (DAS) is able to apply any inspection technique: transmission, pulse-echo in immersion or in contact. It offers multichannel electronics, which are able to manage conventional probes or integrating phased array technologies up to 128 full parallel channels. It also incorporates other advanced utilities, including reconstruction of data and automatic evaluation of defects, and generation of complex trajectories.
