Zwick Roell Group customers benefit from more than 150 years of experience in the manufacturing of high quality testing systems.

Zwick is the global leader in static testing and is experiencing significant growth with its dynamic test systems. A financially strong and family run business, its innovative product developments, diverse product range, and global support provide tailored solutions targeted specifically at the needs of both Research and Development and Quality Assurance customers.

Serving more than 20 industry sectors with 960 employees, via manufacturing facilities in Germany, regional headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, USA and Singapore, as well as offices in 56 countries worldwide, the brand name Zwick is a guarantee of the highest quality and support.

The group’s products and services encompass core technologies relating to materials and component testing, all of which are manufactured at its headquarters in Germany, allowing full integration of each of these components into a fully customizable testing solution. Core technologies include:

Testing Systems Drive Technology
A wide range of products ranging from electromechanical, hydraulic, resonance, or linear drive systems enable mechanical tests on all types of materials and components. Frame capacities from 500N up to 2500kN. Well known brand names include Zwick Allround and ProLine, Amsler, and Vibrophore.

Extensometry
Choosing the right extensometer for any testing application requires complex decisions based on many different factors. Zwick manufactures the widest range of extensometers from the latest technology non-contact video or laser systems, fully automatic sensor arm extensometers for high accuracy and high test speed throughput, or clip-on analogue and digital extensometers.

Load Measuring
Patented load cell technology is available exclusively from Zwick. These devices include transverse, bending and torque protection, as well as plug and test technology. Each cell has a large measuring range coupled with high overload protection which ensures increased accuracy, and minimal test machine reconfiguration or downtime.

Grips and Tooling
Over 500 different specimen grips, some patented, provide test laboratories with a range of grips for testing materials such as metals, plastics, rubber, composites, wood, glass, ceramics, textiles, and food.

Thousands of test fixtures are available for every industry. A custom design service means that Zwick can support its customers with the optimum solution for their testing requirements.

testControl Electronics
Future proof modular technology combined with open connectivity using standardized interfaces enables test laboratories to carry out whatever tests they require. Both analogue and digital transducers can be connected and each channel is time synchronized. The system can be expanded to read up to 10 input channels. Integrated adaptive control and machine compliance correction allows the control of all drive parameters in real time during the test. testControl can also be used to modernize most brands of static testing machine.

testXpert Software
testXpert is one of the worlds favorite software packages in materials and component testing industries. It is able to carry out complex user-defined algorithms for research based testing and all data channels and events can be controlled or analyzed at will. Alternately it can be configured as a production control package with fixed functionality and user interface so that it can easily be operated by QC personnel. Its robustness is proved through its integration into robotic testing systems which run 24/7 all over the world.

Customer Support
Zwick offers its customers technical support in 56 countries through a network of factory trained engineers and application specialists. It is able to offer accredited calibration to DKD, UKAS, COFRAC, and A2LA. Zwick also actively participates in many National and International Standard Committees in order to learn, influence and remain at the forefront of testing technology.
